The Ffoshelig Pack
The pack started with litter sisters Bonnie and Tess in 2001. Someone told us never to have litter sisters, but Bonnie and Tess have been the best of friends. Tess is the boss and Bonnie follows her. If they have to be apart, Tess doesn't like it. Bonnie had her first litter in April 2004; from that litter we kept two puppies, Precious and Nemo. Precious is yellow while Nemo is black in colour. Their father is FTC Morey Glen Tinker. Bonnie's second litter arrived June 2006, of the eight puppies we kept two black boys, Harry and Carlos.
Bonnie will be six years old this year and has now been spayed, Bonnie will remain here as a pet. Tess has never had puppies, as her hip score was not within a suitable score. In 2004 we bought Madison from Shropshire, she will be three years old this June. Madison has had her first litter of puppies in June 2006 she had nine pups. From that litter we kept one girl called Rosie, bringing our pack to eight dogs.
The dogs have their own kennels and they sleep there at night. We have a dog sitting room where the dogs can sit and watch TV with us. It's the only room in the house the dogs are allowed to get into. So you can imagine eight dogs and two adults all sitting together watching TV! Some days we like to watch animal programs and the dogs often run behind the TV to see where the animals have gone. Some like to watch football and try to get at the ball on the TV. It's never a dull moment! The best is when everyone is tired and the dogs settle down and are found asleep on the chairs and in their baskets. We have 14 acres for them to run about in, but they are always supervised when in the fields. In the summer when it's hot they like to play with the hosepipes.
