About the Farm

Located about three miles to the North of Carmarthen, Ffoshelig Farm is a 14 acre smallholding which Paul & Sophie purchased in August 2003. Since purchasing the smallholding, the land has been transformed back to agriculture. Previously, the land had been used for equestrian purposes.

Since buying the farm, many changes have taken place on the farm. All new fences have been erected on the perimeter of the fields and have been "stock-proofed". The open ditches that had been neglected for years were cleaned out and this has improved the natural drainage of the fields. The livestock buildings have all been re-roofed. In addition new housing has been provided for the livestock with 19 new cubicles for the cattle, two new pigs pen with access to a large area for them to do what pigs do and a new chicken shed with access to over half an acre of land.

During the summer months, some additional land is rented locally for additional grazing and for the making of big bale silage. In the winter months, the land is let for tack sheep to our nearest neighbour.
